A 3D printer operates by extruding molten plastic through a tiny nozzle that it moves around precisely using a computer-controlled software. It prints one layer, and then prints the next layer on top, creating a unique 3-dimensional model. This can be used to convert a digital design into a physical prototype alternatively small embellishments for runway couture can also be produced.

This course will guide you through the appropriate phases, taking you through the software, how to operate the printer and how to clean and maintain the printer. You will then also have the opportunity to upload and print a 3D model to see its capabilities first hand.
